The State of Montana offers a unique opportunity for skilled court reporters to join their team. As an official court reporter in Missoula Montana, you will play a vital role in capturing the accuracy of courtroom proceedings.
This is a highly responsible and advanced skill technical work position as an official court reporter for the Honorable Judge Leslie Halligan of the Fourth Judicial District in Missoula, Montana.
Duties include attending sittings of court, capturing a verbatim record of court proceedings using a stenograph machine and computer-aided transcription (CAT) software, and providing to the bench an instantaneous Realtime feed of the proceedings and a high degree of accuracy is required.
Transcripts are prepared and distributed in accordance with rules of court, state statutes, and policies. The court reporter exercises considerable independent judgment in all aspects of job performance.
